SENIOR MEDIUM VOLTAGE SPECIALIST - M&E CONSULTANCY - DUBLIN
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client provides mechanical and electrical consultancy services to
the residential, commercial, micro-electronic, healthcare, municipal,
educational, sports & leisure, high tech and pharmaceutical sectors.
As our Senior Medium Voltage Specialist, you will work on some of the
largest data centre projects.
Your self-starter nature will enable you to confidently work
autonomously, with an ability to handle a varied workload, in an agile
setting.
You will liaise with clients remotely and on-site, offering effective
solutions.
Leveraging your skills to build and manage complex engineering and
construction projects.
Sizing and designing medium voltage cabling
Designing and specifying medium voltage switchgear
Producing Medium Voltage Single Line Diagrams (SLD&#**Apply on the
website**;s), GA Drawings & Specifications
Use ETAP to simulate networks and design MV distribution schemes,
including protection coordination, cable thermal analysis and Arc
flash studies
Attending Factory Witness Tests (FWT) and inspecting Medium Voltage
installations on site
Ensuring the construction team adheres to all contractual requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Third-level qualification in Engineering
5-years experience, focused on substation, high voltage and medium
voltage projects
Size, design, and coordinate the implementation of medium voltage
solutions
Comfortable with conceptualisation and on-site inspections, ensuring
the integrity and efficiency of medium voltage installations
Seasoned knowledge of medium voltage cabling, switchgear, instrument
transformers, protection, metering, and control schemes
Ability to produce relevant technical documentation including
schematics, calculations, and specifications
Working knowledge of MV protection relays
Ability to identify and remedy technical problems related to medium
voltage systems
